unité



unité is a novel module as an interior object. the form follows le corbusier's dwelling system "unité". the basic idea is a modular construction with two opened sides; one forms a single square, the other a double square. the module can be used in lying or upright position which enables additional utilizations on the side opened with a double square. the modular construction is founded upon a cube with 24 cm lateral length. with several moduls almost infinite combinations can be arranged. in this manner several arranged modules form fascinating sculptures. the modules are put together without any connecting elements. the weight and the interconnection of the modules built a stable furniture. the basic formates of 24/24 cm resp. 24/48 cm make it possible to use it for books, magazines, cd, glasses, bottles; - all daily used things.
