table alvar meets mies

the table alvar meets mies is designed in the classical modernism.
the free-formed table enables as many as 12 persons to sit at the table in varied arrangements. the irregular form leads to seating positions and affords views which can not be experienced at rectangular or round tables. the curved table-leaf is made of massive wood. the form corresponds with the formal vocabulary from the finnish architect alvar alto and his preferred material.
the table-leaf lies on three squared elements that are made optionally of glass, plate-glass or stone. not only the form and the layout of the elements but also the choice of the materials correspond with the formal vocabulary from the architect ludwig mies van der rohe.
this free-formed table enables the furnishing of each spatial geometry. as a part of an architecture quotation the table remains timeless in its classical elegance and valuable in its materials.
